Style Spotlight: 70s Neo-Victorian

While Neo-Victorian makes us think of a style borrowed from the 19th century, it was in fact its own distinct fashion trend. Begun by none other than that notorious fashion icon Christian Dior in the late 1940s, his "new look" featuring cinched waists and sloped shoulders were designed to be "moulded upon the curves of the feminine body."

Reaching the mainstream consumers by the late 1960s, a soft feminine style highlighted by poof sleeves and lace trimmings defined the look.

Today, our obsession with 70s Neo-Victorian inspired my Victorian Vixen Earrings - cameo style dangles made from period-appropriate materials perfect for your interpretation of this sassy style!
